All Saints Catholic Primary School

Tell us what your organisation does?
All Saints Primary School has a number of projects that engage its pupils with local communities, businesses and initiatives. Their ‘Learning to Serve’ projects connect year groups from Reception to Year 6, supporting both the learning and development of pupils alongside addressing the needs of the local area. These projects include connecting with local nursing homes, Kitty’s Laundrette, Anfield Litter Network and Alley Angels, Homebaked Community Land Trust and the Cosy Homes project North West Ambulance Service and Priority Medical Centre.

Pupils have also set up an Anti Social Behaviour project with Andy Robinson, set up a committee and presented to the Local Authority about the litter problem in the area.

What are passions and ambitions of the business or organisation?
To install pride in pupils. We want the children to feel proud of Anfield and to start to change the problems they perceive. Also, look at all the amazing things happening in the area.

Why is it important that your business is in Anfield/Everton?
It's where our children live.

What does this neighbourhood mean to staff, parents and children?
We hope a lot as they live here and they should feel proud to do so.

What advice would you give a new, local person starting up their own business or organisation in Anfield/Everton?
Get to know the area and understand the people. Anfield and Everton are associated with the football clubs but they are so much more than this!

What are your aspirations for the area / what would you like the neighbourhood to look like in 5 or 10 years' time?
A vibrant, booming community with employment prospects for the people. A happy place which is clean and people feel proud to live and work in.
