Plant Vegan is an independent shop based in the heart of your community which supports other local independent businesses within our area. We offer a wide range of dairy free products & an increasing number of gluten free options. Freshly made plant based meals & gut loving foods & drinks are popular along with our local kimchi & sourdough.
As we prioritise our own health and well being we are seeing a boom in natural supplements & tinctures such as Lions Mane & Seamoss, alongside a huge shift in decisions being made when people are deciding what products are sustainable and what products to use on their skin
This shop makes a range of products accessible to the local community
What are passions and ambitions of the business or organisation?
To make Organic, healthy food, drinks, vitamins etc affordable & accessible to everyone.
Why is it important that your business is in Anfield/Everton?
My family are from this area and I don't think there is anywhere else in Liverpool with a genuine, warm community spirit which is why I bought a shop here specifically.
What does this neighbourhood mean to you?
Community.
What advice would you give a new, local person starting up their own business or organisation in Anfield/Everton?
Once the community know who you are & what you are about they will support you & you get what you put in.
What are your aspirations for the area / what would you like the neighbourhood to look like in 5 or 10 years' time?
I would absolutely love for the area to be thriving with lots of small independent businesses like it used to be 15 years ago and everyone was doing their shopping along Utting Ave, Priory Rd, Oakfield Rd, Breck Road, Townsend Lane. No empty, boarded up shops. Businesses would have been encouraged to come back into the community and would be fighting to get a business within this neighbourhood.
